Festival 2024

As Worshipful Master of the Old Kimboltonians’ Lodge No 7204, it my pleasure to invite you to the 76th Annual Festival of the Federation of School Lodges being held at Kimbolton Castle. 

There will be a full programme of events commencing from 2.00 p.m. with registration culminating with the Festival banquet at 6.00 p.m. which will be held in the White Hall of the Castle and ending around 8.30 p.m.

All of the Lodge members look forward to welcoming you to the Province of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire but in particular the wonderful Kimbolton Castle and its extensive grounds.

Of particular interest to those visiting Kimbolton Castle, the 4th Duke of Manchester, George Montagu, was Grand Master from 1777 till 1782 and the 7th Duke of Manchester, William Montagu who lived from 1823 till 1890 was the Provincial Grand Master of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire from 1863 till 1887. Both the Dukes lived at Kimbolton Castle as did Katherine of Aragon in her final years (1534-1536).

Please note: On this occasion, wives and partners will not be invited to this event due to the dining being limited to 120. It should also be noted that Kimbolton Castle is a Grade 1 building and has no disabled access. Access to the Castle is via a flight of stairs and to enter the chapel where the Lodge meeting and dining will take place is downstairs via a flight of stairs.
