Chairman visits West Kent Fine Dining Lodge

On Wednesday, 9th October, Chairman Terry Hall visited Joan Roan School Lodge 5085, one of the original 21 founding lodges of The Federation of School Lodges, at Oakley House Masonic Centre, Bromley, Kent. At a short lodge meeting, Worshipful Master Archie Torrance oversaw the election of his successor, WBro Mark Penny, and Terry was invited to give a brief presentation on the history of the Federation and its ethos. 

After the meeting, the brethren retired to dine at Chapter One, Locksbottom, where they were joined by wives, girlfriends and non-masonic guests for a fabulous ‘white table’, fine dining, and festive board. 

After recently struggling with membership numbers, the lodge has transformed itself into West Kent’s fine dining lodge, meeting twice a year on the 2nd Wednesday in March (Installation) and the 2nd Wednesday in October. 

The lodge would like to encourage members of federated lodges to utilise Rule 3 of The Federation to attend future meetings and join them at their very special festive boards.
