Meeting of the Old Kimboltonians' Lodge

72 Members and guests attended the Lodge meeting and Festive Board on 13th December 2024.  The ceremony was to Raise Bro Steven Cameron.

 There were four guests from Old Masonians’ Lodge No 7702 in Liverpool who came to collect the Travelling gavel and they were warmly welcomed by our Worshipful Master W.Bro G Sansom.

The intention on the ‘Travelling Gavel’ is to encourage visiting between lodges in the Federation of School Lodges. FSL affiliated Lodges may attend a meeting of the Lodge who holds the ‘Travelling Gavel’ and the Lodge with the most members in attendance can claim the Gavel. 

At this meeting the Old Masonians’ Lodge claimed the Gavel and W. Bro Martin Wilson the Old Kimboltonians’ Lodge Secretary announced that Old Masonians’ Lodge had indeed met the criteria for claiming the gavel. 

It was therefore handed over to W Bro Andrew Ridal, W Bro Adam Eeles, Bro Keith Cole and Bro Nicholas Metcalf by our Worshipful Master W.Bro G Sansom.

An amusing thank you was given by W Bro Andrew Ridal with reference to transport problems on the M6!!

The visitors toast was given by Ed Williams, the reply to the visitors was given by Neil Johnson.
